1. Setting up the Facebook Messenger Integration

In order to use Octane AI's Facebook Messenger flows, you'll just need to connect your Facebook page with Octane AI.

You can follow the quick steps in this article to get that set up.

A great way to ensure your customers are eligible for this flow is by including a Facebook Messenger opt-in inside of your quiz, or in a pop-up.

When using Facebook Messenger for your business, it's also important to know about the 24 hour messaging policy that Facebook has in place. This only allows your page to message a customer for 24 hours after their last interaction with your page on Messenger.

2. The Quiz Results Flow

Once your Facebook page is connected, you can turn on the quiz flow in the Facebook Messenger section of Octane AI's dashboard.

This is done by enabling the on/off switch for the flow. If it's green, that indicates the flow is turned on.

Once this is on, any Facebook Messenger subscriber who takes your quiz and falls within the 24 hour messaging period will automatically receive a link in their Messenger letting them access their results page again.

This link is a snapshot of the results page they received, so any changes made to the content afterwards will not be reflected in that particular link.

2.1. Adding the Quiz Results URL to a Message

The quiz results flow will include a button linking the results page by default.

However, you can also insert a dynamic results page URL into the message itself as placeholder text.

This is done by selecting the emoji icon while editing the flow's message.

Note: this option is currently only available in the quiz results flow.

2.2. Analytics

Analytics for your quiz flow are found in the Facebook Messenger section of your Octane AI dashboard.

On the Flows page, you'll find a metrics card giving you a quick look at your flow's performance.

By clicking on "Quiz results", you'll be able to edit your flow and view a more detailed breakdown of your flow's engagement and revenue.

Revenue is attributed to the flow when someone clicks back to the results page from Messenger, and places an order within 7 days.

If someone takes your quiz, receives the flow but places an order without interacting with the flow itself, revenue won't be attributed.
