Add your quiz to Tapcart

Show your Octane AI quiz inside your Tapcart mobile app by adding your quiz page as a web-based Custom Screen. Shoppers can open it from your app navigation and take the quiz within the app.

You’ll need a Tapcart app and a published quiz embedded on a Shopify page. All setup happens in Tapcart, and there’s nothing to connect in Octane AI.

Prepare your quiz page

Add your quiz to a page on your Shopify store and publish it. Open that page in a mobile browser to confirm that the quiz loads and works. Copy the Shopify page URL. You’ll use this URL for your Tapcart screen.

Create a Custom Screen

  1. In your Tapcart dashboard, go to Home → Custom Screens.

  2. Click New Screen.

  3. Name the screen.

  4. Open the Settings tab.

  5. Select Web-Based.

  6. Paste your Shopify quiz page URL.

  7. Click Publish.

Add the screen to your app navigation

  1. Open App Studio → App Navigation.

  2. Click Add New Navigation.

  3. Name the navigation item, such as Find your match.

  4. Click the link icon and select Custom Screen.

  5. Choose the quiz screen you created.

  6. Add an icon.

  7. Click Save & Publish.

Preview your quiz

  1. Click the preview icon in the top-right corner of Tapcart.

  2. Open the screen list in the app preview.

  3. Select your quiz screen.

  4. Check the layout and complete the quiz to test the experience.

Update your quiz

Make changes in the Octane AI quiz editor and click Publish. Tapcart loads your live Shopify quiz page, so you don’t need to recreate the screen when updating the quiz. If the page URL changes, update the URL in Tapcart.

Add multiple quizzes

Create a separate Custom Screen for each Shopify quiz page URL, then add navigation items so shoppers can reach them.

Troubleshoot your quiz screen

The screen is blank

Confirm that the quiz is published and the Shopify page URL opens correctly in a mobile browser. Use the page where the quiz is embedded.

Quiz changes aren’t appearing

Make sure you clicked Publish in Octane AI, then reopen the screen to load the updated page.

Tapcart isn’t shown as connected in Octane AI

No connection is required. The Tapcart entry in Octane AI’s Integrations list provides guidance; the screen and navigation are configured in Tapcart.
