Where to collect names in a quiz
You can collect names and any other kind of user-typed answer in a collect text question. Collect text questions can be added in any quiz and can be customized to accept any kind of text answer you'd like to collect.
To collect a name and apply it to a profile name in Klaviyo, you'll need to follow these steps:
Add a first name question.
Add a last name question.
Edit the custom properties in the Connect section of the editor.
After adding a first and/or last name question, check out the next section to learn how to make sure the answers are synced correctly as names in Klaviyo profiles.
β Can I collect first & last names on the same page or with an opt-in?
To collect a first & last name for a Klaviyo profile, separate pages are necessary for each.
Names are not able to be collected in opt-in pages currently.
Matching the custom property to Klaviyo's default property
Once your questions have been created, go to the Connect tab in the quiz editor to change the property name of your question.
Find the custom property for your name questions, and change the custom properties names to:
first_name
last_name
This will make sure the first & last names are applied to the Klaviyo profile's first & last name fields.
Note: this will only guarantee that the names will be mapped to the profile name in Klaviyo.
