This integration is available only on Enterprise plans.

What can you use Shopify Markets integration for?

Once set up, Octane AI will:

  • Automatically detect a customer’s market based on location.

  • Show the correct price and currency.

  • Display localized inventory (what’s in stock in that market).

  • Provide market-specific product links.

In case a customer’s market can’t be detected, they will see your default pricing and inventory.

Important!

Octane AI Shopify Markets integration doesn't translate quiz content into different languages. The best options for translating your quizzes are described here.

Octane AI Shopify Markets integration doesn't work for headless Shopify stores.

How to set up Shopify Markets

Setting up Shopify Markets integration on your main store is super easy and takes just a few minutes.

Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Go to Integrations → Markets in the Octane AI dashboard of your main store

  2. Click to update permissions.

  3. You’ll be taken to Shopify to approve permissions for Octane AI to access your Markets data.

  4. After permission is granted, you’ll return to Octane AI. It may take a moment for your Markets data to sync.

  5. Once synced, confirm the setup and you're all set!

Market data will now flow automatically from Shopify to Octane AI.

Targeting specific Markets with custom domains

You can set up market-specific URLs in Shopify for even more targeted experiences:

  • Subdomains: us.yourstore.com, uk.yourstore.com

  • Separate domains: yourstoreus.com, yourstoreuk.com

  • Subfolders: yourstore.com/en-us, yourstore.com/en-uk

Set this up in Shopify Admin → Settings → Markets → Your Market → Languages and Domains → Manage Domains.

Tips and tricks for using Shopify Markets with quizzes

Any changes you make in Shopify (like updating a market name, switching currency, or editing settings) will be automatically synced to Octane AI.

  • Make sure quizzes or product experiences are using Shopify product links, not hardcoded URLs.

  • Double-check your store’s default market settings in Shopify to ensure fallback content makes sense.
