Facebook Messenger sending features are deprecating on September 27, 2022.

1.2. Why is Octane AI deprecating Facebook Messenger?

We want Octane AI to be the best zero-party and first-party platform on planet Earth, because we believe that knowing your customers is key to growing your revenue. As a startup, we have a small team, and want to stay focused on these initiatives.

We are especially excited about our work in bringing artificial intelligence into your marketing efforts and, very soon, the Octane AI quiz.

1.3. If I rely on Octane AI for Facebook Messenger and Ads, what should I do now?

Octane AI's team is here to help you migrate to another tool. We know this can be a pain, so we've included a guide on migrating to ManyChat which features a robust chatbot with many of the same features as Octane AI's, as well as additional tools like Instagram and WhatsApp compatibility. 2.2. Steps to migrate

In collaboration with ManyChat, we recommend taking the following steps to migrate from Octane AI - however, these general steps will likely work for you no matter who you choose as your next provider:

  1. While still connected to Octane AI, create a ManyChat account.

  2. Connect your Facebook Page and then disconnect your Page in ManyChat's Settings > Messenger area. This will let you start working to setup ManyChat without sending duplicate messages from Octane AI and ManyChat.

  3. Start setting up the features that you'll want to use. See the feature comparison above to understand how your current Octane AI features work in ManyChat.

  4. (Optional) Send a final message in Octane AI. This may be helpful if you have very recent opt-ins you want to migrate. If you decide to go this route, you should then immediately proceed to the next step.

  5. Unpublish your Facebook Page from Octane AI and connect your bot to ManyChat. Do not disconnect your Page from Octane AI if you want to continue using Octane AI for opt-ins or Meta Pixel events in the quiz.

  6. Retrieve any final data that you might want from Octane AI, such as Smart Responses keywords, analytics, Messenger subscriber list, sponsored message content, etc.

Check out the Migration FAQ for more details on each quick step and migrating to ManyChat.
