This guide will show you how to connect Octane AI to Yotpo and what you need to use Octane AI quiz data in Yotpo features.

Connecting Yotpo to Octane AI
To connect Yotpo to Octane AI, just follow these steps:
Go to the Integrations page in Octane AI.
Locate Yotpo, and click Connect.
When prompted, sign into the Yotpo account you'd like to connect.
Once an account has been selected, click Continue.
Create a list in Yotpo that you'll use for Octane AI quiz subscribers and select it for the integration.
That's it! Yotpo has now been connected and any email or SMS opt-ins will automatically sync into Yotpo.
What you can do with Yotpo + Octane AI
To sync subscribers to Yotpo, just add an email or phone opt-in question (or both) to your quiz. Once someone completes the quiz and adds an opt-in, Yotpo will receive the following data:
Customer email
Customer phone number
Custom profile properties including:
Quiz answers
Quiz results page URL
Quiz completion custom event
This data in Yotpo will allow you to trigger flows, create segments & personalize messages with quiz answers.
📕 Triggering a Yotpo flow on quiz completion
After a customer opts in via Octane AI and completes a quiz, a quiz.completed event is sent to Yotpo. Once set, this event will be used as a flow trigger whenever a customer finishes your quiz.
Important:
You will not see the quiz completion event as a custom trigger. Instead, it will appear as a built-in trigger in the flow builder.
Make sure that the integration has been installed correctly, and that at least one opt-in has been submitted via a published quiz before setting up the flow.
Creating a Post-Quiz Flow in Yotpo
Once the integration is installed, follow these steps to create a post-quiz flow triggered by quiz completion:
Go to
Flows>My Flowsin Yotpo.Click on "Create New Flow" to start building a new flow from scratch.
In the flow builder, you will see the "Octane Quiz Completed" trigger listed as a built-in option.
Select the Octane Quiz Completed trigger to use it as the trigger for this flow.
Once the trigger is selected, this flow will activate whenever a customer completes an Octane AI quiz.
Displaying quiz recommendations in an email
If a flow uses quiz completion as a trigger, you'll be able to use the Dynamic Products Block in an email.
Once this block has been added to an email, it will automatically populate with product recommendations from the quiz session that triggered the email.
Adding quiz answers into a message
Quiz answers can be inserted into a message by adding it as a personalization tag. Simply use the {..} icon while editing text to choose a personalization tag.
These tags are custom profile attributes that Octane AI syncs into Yotpo with an opt-in, and represent quiz answers, the results page name, and a shareable URL to the results page from the latest quiz session.
