How Octane AI's Recart Integration Works
The most valuable part of the Octane AI's Recart integration is the ability to pass on any data you collect in a quiz into Recart with a customer's phone number.
The data that can be passed on includes:
Quiz answers
Results page URL
SMS number
In Recart, this data can be used to personalize messages and get the most out of the integration.
Connecting Octane AI with Recart
Step 1: Fetch Your API Key and Site ID from Recart
Sign in to your Recart account and find your API Key and Site ID in Account Settings. Keep the API Key and Site ID handy for the next step.
Step 2: Activate Recart Integration in Octane AI
Go to your Octane AI dashboard and under the Integrations tab find Recart Integration. Paste the API Key and Site ID into the corresponding fields.
Step 3: Activate the integration, and everything is ready.
Sending quiz data to Recart
Octane AI sends all the data within quiz.completed event. Our quiz.completed event is fired each time someone completes a quiz. Data that is synced to Recart contains the phone number collected with the quiz, the quiz Results URL for each quiz subscriber, and all answers collected through the quiz.
Each time someone opts in via an Octane AI quiz, a welcome flow will be triggered. Everyone who confirms the opt-in automatically becomes a Recart subscriber for your store.
Personalizing SMS with Quiz Data
Once the data is synced to Recart, you can personalize the SMS messages using Recart’s merge tag feature. Merge tags allow you to include quiz answers and the quiz results URL directly in your SMS campaigns.
Quiz Results URL is a link to a specific results page each quiz subscriber got at the end of the quiz.
Use merge tags in Recart SMS flows to insert quiz data such as the customer’s quiz results URL and their answers, making your messages more relevant and engaging.
Important:
Before connecting the integration, make sure that your quiz Custom properties are labeled correctly in the Connect tab.

How do I know if the integration is working?
After activating the integration, test your quiz by submitting a phone number. You should see the phone number appear in Recart, and the welcome SMS flow will be triggered.
Can I collect additional data from my quizzes?
Yes, Octane AI sends quiz answers along with phone numbers, which can be used to personalize your Recart SMS campaigns.
What happens if the customer doesn’t respond to the Welcome SMS?
Only users who respond to the welcome SMS will be added to your Recart subscriber list.
