Smart Copy is usable only on your product blocks inside your result pages.
Smart Copy is available for all quiz types (AI, Dynamic, and Custom).
What is Smart Copy
With Smart Copy, you can have AI write the texts inside your quiz's results pages for you. You can type in your prompts, and it will follow your instructions to write a unique text for the customer.
It can use the customer's answers, their recommended products, and whatever else you tell it to use in your prompt. Your imagination is the limit here!
Smart Copy limits
All plans can use Smart Copy, but there are some limits:
Octane plan: 1 Smart Copy instance per results page.
Octane Plus plans: 3 Smart Copy instances per results page.
Octane Enterprise plans: 5 Smart Copy instances per results page.
How to use Smart Copy in your quiz
To start using Smart Copy:
Open your quiz in the editor.
Click the desired product block under its result page on the left.
Click on Add content below it.
Click on Smart Copy:
Inside the Smart Copy block, you will have a couple of options available. Here is an overview of all of them:
Instructions for AI: this is the prompt you will feed to the AI, which will do its best to follow your instructions, so try to be as specific as you possibly can here.
Fallback text: the placeholder text that will appear for the customer in case anything goes wrong with Smart Copy and it does not work in that session.
Display on: choose whether you want to display the Smart Copy text block only on Mobile, Desktop, or both.
Display style: the format that you would like to use for your default text, you can choose according to your needs between Body text, Title, Heading, Subheading, and Caption text.
Internal label: this will be the name of the Smart Copy instance as a custom property in your integrations.
Following our example above, this is the message that was written for the customer when our quiz was taken:
As you can see, it used the customer's answers (their body type and color preference) to write a personalized message in the style requested in the prompt. You can play around with the prompt and ask the AI to use a different writing style, use all of the customer's answers, or only specific answers, and whatever else comes to your mind.
You can be as creative as you want or as detailed as you need. You can also use variables with @ to personalize the copy with answers from the quiz.
Using Smart Copy with HTML
You can also instruct Smart Copy to lay out the text in an HTML code structure. You can give instructions to use lists, change colors, align the text, and much more! Here is a non-exhaustive example of what can be done with Smart Copy and HTML:
You can also add HTML to your fallback text:
Using Smart Copy on integrations
The Smart Copy instance will be sent as a custom property to your integrations. The value will be the internal label, and the property will be the Smart Copy text that was generated.
Keep in mind that if there was an issue with Smart Copy and the fallback text was displayed, then the fallback text will be the property instead of the AI-generated text.
Another caveat is that if your Smart Copy instance does not have any HTML code, it will be sent to your integrations as a single block of text:
If your Smart Copy instance has HTML, it will be sent to your integrations within the corresponding HTML code, with the tags, attributes, and styling:
