Use Shopify Markets with Octane AI

Use one quiz across multiple Shopify Markets with localized pricing, inventory, and product links.

Written by Ivana

The Shopify Markets integration lets you use a quiz from your primary store across all of your Shopify Markets. Octane AI detects the customer's market and displays the appropriate pricing, currency, inventory, and product links.

Plan requirement: Shopify Markets integration is available on Plus plans and above.

How Shopify Markets works

When a customer visits your quiz, Octane AI detects their Shopify Market and automatically displays:

  • The correct price and currency

  • Inventory available in their market

  • Market-specific product links

If the customer's market can't be detected, Octane AI uses your store's default market pricing and inventory.

Important: The Shopify Markets integration does not translate your quiz content. If you need your quiz in multiple languages, you'll need to create translated versions separately.

The Shopify Markets integration is not supported on headless Shopify stores.

Set up Shopify Markets

  1. In your Octane AI dashboard, go to Integrations → Markets.

  2. Click Add.

  3. Click Enable Shopify Markets and sync your markets.

  4. Once the sync is complete, confirm the setup.

Your Shopify Markets data will now sync automatically with Octane AI.

Use custom domains for different Markets

If you use market-specific domains or URLs in Shopify, Octane AI can work with:

  • Subdomains: us.yourstore.com

  • Separate domains: yourstoreus.com

  • Subfolders: yourstore.com/en-us

You can manage these in Shopify Admin → Settings → Markets → Your Market → Languages and Domains → Manage Domains

Tips for using Shopify Markets with quizzes

Changes you make to your Markets settings in Shopify, such as updating a market, changing its currency, or adjusting other settings, will automatically sync with Octane AI.

For the best experience:

  • Use Shopify product links in your quizzes instead of hardcoded product URLs.

  • Check your default market settings in Shopify to make sure customers see the correct fallback pricing and inventory if their market can't be detected.
