You can install Octane AI directly from the Shopify App Store. Once installed, you'll create or sign in to your Octane AI account, choose a subscription, and connect your Shopify store.
Install Octane AI
Click Install or Add app.
Review the requested permissions and confirm the installation in Shopify.
Create your Octane AI admin account, or click Sign In if you already have one.
Follow the instructions to select a plan and enter your billing details through Stripe.
Your 14-day free trial begins once you accept your subscription in Stripe.
Note: Octane AI uses Stripe for billing, so you'll need a valid credit card to complete your account setup.
Connect an additional Shopify store
If you already use Octane AI and want to connect another Shopify store, you can manage multiple stores using the same admin account.
Open Octane AI in the Shopify App Store and install the app on your additional store.
Sign in using your existing Octane AI admin account.
On the store selection screen, choose New account.
Complete the account setup and confirm your subscription through Stripe.
Each Shopify store requires its own Octane AI store account and subscription, but you can access multiple stores using the same admin login.
Important: When connecting a new Shopify store, choose New account rather than an existing connected store. Selecting an existing store account can replace its current Shopify connection.
Understand accounts and billing
Octane AI uses two types of accounts:
Store account: Connected to a specific Shopify store (
myshopify.comdomain).Admin account: Connected to your email address and used to access one or more store accounts.
Multiple admins can access the same store account, and one admin can manage multiple stores. Subscriptions are managed through Stripe, with invoices issued for each billing period after the trial ends. Install Octane AI on a development store
You can also install Octane AI on a Shopify development store for testing. Follow the standard installation steps. Development store installations use Stripe test mode, allowing you to complete setup using a supported Stripe test card without real charges. Once your account is set up, you can start creating and testing quizzes in the Octane AI editor.
