The Postscript integration lets you send quiz opt-ins and customer quiz data directly to Postscript. Once connected, you can use quiz answers, results, and other custom properties to create personalized SMS messages.
Connect Postscript
In Postscript, click your Shop name, then select API.
Click Create Security Key Pair, then select Yes to confirm.
Under the Private Key column, click Show to reveal your private API key.
In Octane AI, go to Integrations and click Add next to Postscript.
Paste your API key into the Private key field and optionally select the keyword you want to trigger for SMS opt-ins.
Your Postscript integration is now connected.
Before collecting phone numbers through your quiz, make sure your SMS opt-in page meets Postscript's TCPA compliance requirements.
Postscript primarily supports carriers in the US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and the UK.
Add SMS consent language
Before collecting phone numbers, add Postscript’s current consent language alongside your quiz’s SMS opt-in field.
Open your quiz in the Phoenix editor.
Find the page containing your SMS opt-in.
Add or edit a text element near the phone number field.
Paste the current consent language from Postscript’s SMS compliance guide.
Link Terms of Service and Privacy Policy to the appropriate pages for your store.
Preview the page on desktop and mobile to confirm that the disclosure and links are easy to read.
Use the wording provided by Postscript so your disclosure reflects its latest requirements.
Review your custom properties
Postscript receives quiz data as custom properties, including quiz answers, the results page URL, and opt-in information.
To review the property names:
Open your quiz in the Phoenix editor.
Select Integrations.
Review Custom Properties and confirm that the names clearly identify the data you want to use.
Test the connection
Publish your quiz.
Complete it using a phone number you can access.
Submit the SMS opt-in and complete any confirmation requested by Postscript.
Finish the quiz.
Find the subscriber’s profile in Postscript.
Confirm that the expected quiz properties and quiz completed event are available.
Note: Submitting a phone number doesn’t necessarily complete the subscription process. Follow any confirmation instructions sent by Postscript.
